===

Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth! Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.”

Psalm 96:9-10

===

Worship
Tremble
Speak

Before the LORD

And what should you speak?
The world, which God created, is firm in its place.
This God will be just in his judgments.
Worship him!

I think it’s Biblical to say that one way a person can worship our God is by telling others to worship our God.

Psalm 96:1-3

===

Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength! Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts!

Psalm 96:6-8

===

You are invited into the court of the King.

Bring an offering.

Your offering is worship – ascribing to him glory and strength.

Bring your family.

Say to them that the LORD has strength and beauty and splendor and majesty.

You are invited into the court of the King.

The gods you have that are not the LORD are worthless idols.

In great contrast, the LORD created everything you see.

3-11 Application for Mar 24-25, 2018 :: Hebrews 12:2

===

…looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

===

Why should we look to Jesus?

We should look to him to see how we should act.
Because he sacrificed for us.
We should look to him to see why we should worship him.
Because he is seated at God’s right hand.
We should look to him to see what he’s doing for us
He has founded and is perfecting our faith.

And he has done all of this for joy.

3-10 Application for Mar 17-18, 2018 :: Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us

Hebrews 12:1

Two Directives:
Lay aside every sin.
Run the race with endurance.

Two Motivations:
There are so many that have gone before us with strong faith that God rewarded.
He has set the race before us.

What is the course that God has set before you?

===

The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds his hand.

Psalm 37:23-24

Does a Christian fall? Does someone who is a child of God lose his footing?

Yes.

But he will not be cast headlong, into the dirt. He will not fall all the way.
He will not fail all the way, or die all the way, or lose all the way.

Because his steps are established by the LORD.
Because the LORD upholds his hand.

How is the LORD upholding your hand today?
