1-1 Application for Jan 9-10, 2016 :: Deuteronomy 7:9

===

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.

Deuteronomy 7:9

===

We are starting set 1 with a good word.

Your God is God.
He is faithful – he keeps his covenant.
He is loving – to those who love him and keeps his commandments.
He is forever – to a thousand generations.

You don’t serve a false god, a flaky god, a forgetful god.

You serve the One True God.

5-52 Application for Jan 2-3, 2016 :: Revelation 21:5-7

===

And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

Revelation 21:5-7

===

It is done! You don’t need payment. Your savior will conquer.
You can drink from the spring of the water of life. Choose Jesus and drink that satisfying liquid.

Choose the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega, the one seated on the throne.

It is done.

5-51 Application for Dec 26-27, 2015 :: Revelation 21:4

===

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

Revelation 21:4

===

The bad news is this: There are tears on earth. There is death on earth. There is mourning and crying and pain.

But there is good news – Our God knows these things are bad. One day, for those who have been saved by Him, these things will be ‘former’. They will be in the past. They will have passed away.

This is your future if you are with God. I pray that if you are experiencing sadness and pain right now, this will give you hope.

5-50 Application for Dec 19-20, 2015 :: Revelation 21:3-7

===

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.”

Revelation 21:3

===

Dwell is an important word in Heaven. We will be with the Heavenly Father in a more real way than we are on earth. We will be his people. The relationship will be very strong.

Do you want the High King as your God? Do you want that kind of connection with the almighty Creator of the universe? I pray that you do.

Announcing Fighter Verse Song Set 5 ::: The New CD is Here!

It’s done and ready for you to enjoy!

After more than a year of writing, recording, mixing and mastering – we’ve finally finished the fifth set of songs.

Here’s our sample video

Here’s the link to the Amazon page

Here’s the link to the downloadable songs

And here’s the official description:

The Fighter VersesTM Songs CD-Set 5 is comprised of word-for-word Bible passages (English Standard Version) set to music. These passages are specifically selected to help believers fight the fight of faith. The Fighter VersesTM Songs also coordinate with the five-year Fighter VersesTM Bible memory program from Children Desiring God.

This CD includes 33 songs (over an hour of music) from important and beloved Bible passages from 19 books of the Bible. The songs were creatively written and recorded to make Scripture memorization easy and fun.

Musical styles include folk, a cappella, jazz, blue grass, pop, gospel and family songs. Tunes are easy to learn, fun for kids and enjoyable to listen to on repeat.

The songs include passages from Romans 8 (Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?), Psalm 84 (A day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere), Numbers 23 (God is not man that he should lie), John 8 (If you abide in my word), and all of Psalm 34. Your children will memorize scripture without even trying-and so will you! Companion CDs for Sets 1, 3 and 4 are also available, as is the Extended Set 5 CD (the Sermon on the Mount).

And here’s a section of one of the reviews:

Just as wonderful as the other CDs in the series, Fighter Verse 5 makes hiding God’s Word in your heart a delight instead of a chore. I use it in the car while I’m driving my kids to activities…an awesome way to memorize Bible verses with little effort! The upbeat songs are both vocally and musically pleasing, with a variety of tempos and styles represented. I’d highly recommend it for anyone!

5-49 Application for Dec 12-13, 2015 :: 1 Cor 15:51-52

===

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52

===

Are there things that you wish were not true about yourself. Things that cause you grief or pain or shame?

Those things won’t be with you forever.

Look at this passage: We shall be changed. Paul said it twice.

We will be imperishable. We will be fully sanctified. For His name sake.

Take hope in that.

1 John 4

5-48 Application for Dec 5-6, 2015 :: 1 John 4:4

===
…he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

1 John 4:4
===

Who is in you? God.
Who is in the world? Satan. Every human.
Who is greater? Who is the one you should trust? Who should you be glad is in you?

Our great and almighty God.

5-47 Application for Nov 28-29, 2015 :: Psalm 84:10-11

===
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Psalm 84:10-11
===

No good thing does he withhold. There is an implication here that is a little sobering. You know that thing that you really want; that thing you think God should give to you? If you are a child of God, and God isn’t giving it to you, then, right now, that thing is not a good thing for you.

For some that might be a comfort, and for others it might be harsh, but it is true.

Song written and performed by Jeff Warren

===
Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name’s sake!

Psalm 79:9
===

This verse is a prayer. A prayer we all need to call out to God. We need help from the true God of Salvation. The good news is that the very thing we want is the thing that will bring glory to His Name.

Cry out to the the God of your salvation, that he will atone for your sins and deliver you. You need this.

5-45 Application for Nov 14-15, 2015 :: 1 Timothy 6:6-7

===
But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.

1 Timothy 6:6-7
===

A person who is content is a person at peace, and a person who is grateful.

We can be more content if we continue to remember that every good thing we have is a gift, and more than many people have.

We can also be more content if we continue to remember that keeping everything for ourselves will be ultimately fruitless
