When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Psalm 56:3-4

It’s interesting to note that in two verses, David say, “When I am afraid”, implying that at times he is afraid, and “I shall not be afraid.”
What makes the difference? David tells us. When he trusts in God, he isn’t afraid.
And why should be trust God?
God is transcendent, for starters. He is above all men. His word is praiseworthy.
The world can nothing to us.
