Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.

Three Parts of the Armor of God:
Belt — Truth
Breastplate — Righteousness
Shoes — Readiness given by the gospel of peace
And how do these gifts relate to armor?
Truth — We have truth behind us – keeping our way firm
Righteousness — which those of us are moving more and more towards – we are less and less hindered by the negative consequences of sin, because we are sinning less.
Readiness — the gospel makes us want to move and to act with fearlessness.
These are the tools, the gifts you receive as a child of God. Use them!
