5-30 Application for Aug 9, 2020 :: Psalm 34:15-16

===

The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry. The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

Psalm 34:15-16

[This weeks passage begins at around 2:33 in the song]

===

Unlike those who “seek peace and pursue it” (talked about in last week’s), those who do evil won’t have many days, but the memory of them will be cut off from the earth.

The Psalmist is asking you to make a choice. Do you want the LORD’s eyes to be towards you and your cries for help? Or do you want his face to be against you?

You are being asked to make a choice, all the time, between righteous acts and evil acts. Choose the way that will make it so you don’t have reason to fearing having the memory of you being ended on the earth. By the God who can do it.

Psalm34
