2-9 Application for Mar 6, 2022 :: Psalm 103:15-16

===

For seven weeks we’re memorizing Psalm 103. It’s a great psalm. Inspirational, God-glorifying, encouraging. I encourage you to accept the challenge.

This week’s verse starts at 2:24 in the video.

===

As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more.

Psalm 103:15-16

This is sobering, isn’t it?

Our time on earth is very short. We shouldn’t think so highly of ourselves to think we are like God.

As mortals, we are more like grass than like God. And we’ll be forgotten soon.

But there is good news for the believer – for those in Christ.

We just heard it: God crowns us with steadfast love and mercy. Our diseased will be healed.

God’s steadfast love is forever. His healing is forever. His gospel is forever.

And the gospel isn’t for grass. It’s for us!
