There is a time to be aware of your sin – to pray for more grace towards the sanctification that God has promised to all who love Him.

But there is also a time to focus on what you are already as a saved follower of Christ: a new creation.

Your old status as Sinner is no more. As a result of Jesus’ work on the cross, your new status as perfectly redeemed and holy is real and actual.

Thank God for this. Be moved by this knowledge towards greater obedience.
