Application of the Fighter Verse for January 29/30

Set 1 – Romans 11:33-36 – Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

We all know glory when we see it.  We know what it is like from the Super Bowl to the Space Shuttle.  For these human achievements, consider what glory looks like.   What it tastes like as an experience.   How it sounds from the quiet before, to the roar of the moment.  What does it feel like?  How great is the intelligence that goes into human designs?  How often and how deep and how much glory do people get for things like the Super Bowl or the Space Shuttle?

Now, imagine God.  What do His designs look like? How great is His intelligence?  What does it feel like to behold the highest mountain?  What does it taste like to bite into a fresh strawberry on a hot summer day?  How does it sound when you are before the thundering of Niagara falls?

How often and how deep and how much glory does God get from you?  To him be glory forever. Amen.

Practical suggestions this week:

– Meditate upon God’s ways.  His judgments.  His design.  His infinite attributes.  His personal love for you. Listen to this song as you do so.

– Make an effort to notice God’s glory around you and remark upon it to others.  You will gain joy and give God glory.

– Pray that God will help you see Him, His glory and enjoy Him more and more each day.

How will you use this free scripture song in your life this week? with your spouse? your children? your family? your neighbors?
