Set 1 – John 1:12-13 – But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
All people who believe in Jesus Christ will be children of God. It is not by ancestry or race that one becomes a child of God. It is not by any human action or will. To become a child of God is to be born of God. It is a free gift from God!
Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins and that his free gift is to be a child of God?
Practical suggestions this week:
– If you do NOT believe in Jesus, pray to God that he would give you the gift of believing in Jesus. (Why pray to believe?)
– If you DO believe in Jesus, give thanks to God for His great mercy to you. Your sin is great. His love is greater!
– Pray that God will help you share his love with others.
