Application of the Fighter Verse for February 19/20

Psalm 62:5-7 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.

There is nothing that we need that God does not give us.  In the midst of all the whirlwind of circumstances around us, God provides everything we need for faith and godliness.  God is a solid rock upon which to stand and therefore those who stand upon Him shall not be shaken.

Are you resting on the rock?

Practical suggestions:

– Meditate upon this verse and the picture of God as a refuge.  Recognize that your soul needs God alone.

– Consider sharing with another how God as been your salvation, glory, rock and refuge today.

– Pray for your soul to long for God alone

How will you use this song in your life this week? with your spouse? your children? your family? your neighbors?
