Application of the Fighter Verse for April 2/3

Philippians2:12-13 (Listen to song Demo above)
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

This is a beautiful picture of God’s sovereignty working in us and our choice to work out our salvation.  Decide that you will work for God’s pleasure and your joy will come as a result.  This is what it means to obey God.

The fear of the Lord is for your joy!

Practical suggestions:

– Meditate upon this verse.  Reflect upon what it is to will and to work for God’s pleasure.

– Pray that you know joy from God’s good pleasure in you. (See Psalm 16:11)

– Consider how to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. (See Psalm 2:11)

How will you use this fighter verse song in your life this week? with your spouse? your children? your family? your neighbors?
