Application of the Fighter Verse for April 16/17

James 1:4-5 (Listen to song Demo above)

And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

The full effect trials is that we may be perfect and complete.  That is, we are conformed to the image of Christ.  Through trials that are strong enough to perfect, it is difficult counting it all joy!  How do we get there through trials?  Prayer.  If anyone lacks wisdom, ask God through prayer and He will give generously.

May God grant you steadfastness for every trial!

Practical suggestions:

– Meditate upon this verse.  Reflect upon your past trials.  What did it produce in you?

– Pray to God in the midst of trials and ask for wisdom.

– Consider Christ and His perfect righteousness.  Even as you strive to be conformed to Christ, and the cruciform love He shows, give thanks that He is your perfection.

How will you use this fighter verse song in your life this week? with your spouse? your children? your family? your neighbors?

  1. I love the way verses put to song assist in our ability to remember them. Parents will actually learn the verses along with their children ~what a blessing to the whole family.
