Application for June 28-29, 2014 :: Psalm 139:23-24

===

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

Psalm 139:23-24

===

(This section of the passage begins in this song at around 4:36)

This is a helpful way for David to end this Psalm. He’s just poured out his emotions (and several different kinds of emotions) and he asks God to check him, and point out his sin.

And he asks God for the happy ending. The perfect, soul satisfying, eternal happy ending.

It is high; we cannot attain it. So we pray to God, the only one who can.

May God make this true for you.
