3-21 Application for June 2-3, 2018 :: Romans 12:20-21

To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:20-21

The section of this text in quotation marks is from Proverbs. It’s also echoed by Jesus in Luke and Matthew. So here we have a way of living that is proclaimed by Solomon, Jesus and the Apostle Paul.

And yet so many Christians don’t act in this way. We find it too easy to do evil to those who do evil to us. This is the natural man way of acting.

But the holy, Godly, Christlike approach is to do good to those who do evil to us. It is the way Paul says we can overcome evil with good.

How can you do this today?
