These are striking words and not how humanity usually thinks.
No, we think, people who are poor in spirit, or who are mourning are not blessed.
and it’s the aggressive and evil who get their way in this world.
But Jesus, our savior and our God says differently. He says that God is more in touch with those who are poor in spirit and those who are mourning. And he wants his children to be meek and to seek after righteousness. He promises good thing for those who point this way.
So allow God and His Son’s words to point you this way.
